DAYS OF PRAYER

September 15 and 16 have been suggested as days of special prayers for unity for the North American Christadelphian community. September 15 is a Sunday and the next day is the “Day of Atonement” in Jewish practice.

Unity in North America is not an easy thing to achieve. We have had a century of division, positions have become entrenched and misunderstandings have grown. Without God’s help it would appear to be impossible.

We all want a unity that is Scripturally sound and that glorifies our Heavenly Father. That is an objective worth praying for. The Apostle Paul wrote, “ Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you: but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” (1 Cor. 1:10)

Asking God’s help to achieve this result would surely be pleasing to our Heavenly Father.

Will you, therefore, kindly make an announcement to remind your ecclesia of these days of special prayers?
